Achmad Syahri is a native of Jakarta. He has no formal education as an artist and in his early days worked as a 'street artist'. Today he lives and works deep in the heart of Balekambang Condet, Jakarta, in a maze of narrow kampung streets. Most days of the week he goes to the Ancol Pasar Seni (Ancol Art Market) where he exhibits and sells his work. He has exhibited extensively including Galeri Milenium, Koong Gallery and TIM, Jakarta.
